What this practice does
Sustainability has moved from a compliance topic to a strategic imperative. Avant-Garde's Sustainability & ESG practice helps African corporates, DFIs and public institutions design credible sustainability strategies, disclose against global standards and unlock sustainable finance.
We were founded in this discipline - our roots are in ESG, ESIA and sustainability strategy - and today the practice covers ESG strategy, sustainability reporting, sustainable finance, TCFD implementation, ISSB readiness, IFC Performance Standards compliance and assurance.
We supported IHS Towers' ESG assurance for its NYSE listing, and have advised leading banks on climate finance frameworks and sustainability-linked lending. Our founder authored 'Not a Tick in the Box', a practitioner's reframing of sustainability for African enterprise.
